Classic rules, one edition

This game follows the standard individual game in the Parker Brothers 1934/1992 four-pawn rulebook. Team play and the adult points variation are not enabled.

A 1 or 2 releases a pawn onto its entry circle. Move clockwise. You can pass pawns, but cannot ordinarily land on your own. Landing on an opponent sends it to Start. Home needs an exact count.

Only you enter your Safety Zone. You cannot enter it backward, but you can back out. Moving backward past your Start can give you a shortcut into Safety on a later forward move.

Land on another color’s slide triangle and slide to its end, sending every pawn in the path—including your own—to Start. Your own slides do not activate. Inactive colors’ slides still work.

Use a complete legal move whenever possible. If none exists, acknowledge the lost move. The 2 still gives another draw. With 11, you may decline an exchange only if a forward-eleven move is unavailable. Exchanges and Sorry! targets are limited to the shared track. Only the active exchanging pawn triggers a slide.

The 45-card classic deck has five 1s and four of each other card. Discards are shuffled when the draw pile runs out. Your opponents never see its order. The winner starts a rematch.
