Psalm 1 Paraphrased

Blessed is the one who walks not astray,
In the counsel of the righteous, finds their way.
They shun the path where sinners roam,
Delight in the law, make it their home.

Like a tree planted by rivers wide,
Their roots go deep, in God they confide.
In due season, they bear fruit sweet,
Prosperity graces their righteous seat.

The wicked, like chaff, blown away,
No place beside the righteous they stay.
For the Lord knows the righteous way,
Guiding them through both night and day.
