The Lord is my light and salvation, Whom shall I fear, in His foundation? A fortress strong, my soul's elation, No dread in His grace, pure adoration. As trials emerge and surround me near, His presence shields, dispelling doubt's veneer. Though darkness descends, His light is sincere, In His sanctuary, fear finds no frontier. With strength divine, my heart takes flight, In the Lord's embrace, the path is bright. No foe too great, His love ignites, Guiding my steps through daunting nights. In His dwelling, my refuge secure, A place of peace, forever pure. With Psalms of joy, my spirit allure, For in His grace, my soul is sure. So let my heart sing, with praise unbound, In His sanctuary, true joy is found. The Lord, my light, my soul's profound, In Him, my strength, eternal and crowned.

While the basis is a single verse, it is also a poem praising the book of Psalms. Psalms 27:1 (NIV): The Lord is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life— of whom shall I be afraid?
