Mother's Day

Mom's that are no longer here,
Now residing in that heavenly sphere,
Your love is still felt today,
Because you always showed me the way.

Daughters that are mommies too,
Whose children see the world anew.
They love their mommy as do I,
When they laugh and when they cry.

A mother is special, you see,
From the time we sat upon your knee,
Through happiness and times of fear,
Always there from year to year.

Usually I took you for granted,
But now of you, I am enchanted.
With pure joy in my heart, I say,
