Every guess tells a story.

Your combinations and clues will appear here. Look for what changes between guesses.

A place to begin

Try different colors in your first guess to discover which ones might belong.

    Clues describe the whole guess.

    A QUICK FIELD GUIDE

    How to play

Find the hidden sequence before your attempts run out. Colors and their order both matter.

    1. Build a guess. Select a slot, then choose a color. Selection advances automatically; you can return to any slot.
    2. Check the clues. Submit a full row. ● Exact means a right color in a right position. ◇ Misplaced means a right color that belongs elsewhere.
    3. Compare and refine. Each submitted guess stays on the board. Use its clues to narrow down your next combination.

    A worked example

    Imagine the secret is:

    RRBG

    You guess:

    RBRY

    ● 1 exact   ◇ 2 misplaced

The first red is exact. Blue and the other red are misplaced. Yellow is absent.

Clues are totals, not a map. The first feedback marker does not refer to the first slot. Markers are always grouped by type.

Repeated colors: Classic and Expert can use a color more than once. Each secret peg can match only once. If the secret has two reds, four guessed reds can earn at most two matches.

Try a careful change. Adjust one part of a promising guess and compare the feedback. In Beginner, each color may appear only once in a code or guess.

Rounds and records: Revealing or leaving a round after a submitted guess counts as a loss. An untouched round doesn’t affect statistics. Custom games share a separate Custom record.
