Poetry by Stephan Beckner

Without a Dream

The poorest man in all the world,
Is not the one without a cent.
Not the one whose clothes are ragged,
Who can hardly afford his rent.

The poorest man in all the world,
Upon the list supreme,
Is he who boldly walks the Earth,
Without a single dream.
